Natural da cidade de Houston, Estados Unidos, gravou este disco aos 27 anos de idade, acompanhado por um jovem e talentoso trio, com Vicente Archer no baixo, Damion Reid na bateria e Mark Turner no sax tenor, além da participação do vocalista Bilal. Glasper é essencialmente um pianista, mas ele também toca Fender Rhodes em três faixas e kalimba em "Chant". É um excelente disco de jazz, com uma linguagem madura que proporciona grande satisfação ao ouvinte de jazz.
[English] Canvas 2005 was the second album of pianist and composer Robert Glasper, currently eight albums released. From Houston city, United States, he recorded this disc at 27 years old, accompanied by a talented young trio with Vicente Archer on bass, Damion Reid on drums and Mark Turner on tenor sax, beyond participation of vocalist Bilal. Glasper is essentially a pianist, but he also plays Fender Rhodes on three tracks and kalimba on "Chant". It's a great jazz record, with mature compositions that gives great satisfaction to the jazz listener.
