Músico de grandes habilidades, utiliza a percussão de uma forma geral nos seus trabalhos, mas mostra predileção pela marimba e vibrafone. Possui vários discos lançados, no entanto, para a primeira postagem de Currie no blog foi escolhido o ótimo disco "Striking a Balance, Contemporary Percussion Music", gravações de Currie com apenas 22 anos, com performances sobre obras de clássicos como Bach e Ravel e contemporâneos como Chick Corea, Ney Rossauro e Steve Reich. Atualmente Colin Currie vem divulgando seu novo trabalho, o album "Since Brass, Nor Stone..." pelo selo NMC.

[English] Colin Currie is a Scottish percussionist acting career in itself or as a soloist among major orchestras and conductors today. Musician with great skills, uses the percussion in general in their work, but shows a predilection for marimba and vibraphone. Has released several albums, however for the first posting of Currie on the blog was chosen the great record "Striking a Balance, Contemporary Percussion Music", recordings Currie aged 22, with performances about classic works like Bach and Ravel and contemporary as Chick Corea, Ney Rossauro and Steve Reich. Colin Currie is currently promoting his new work, the album "Since Brass, Nor Stone ..." by NMC label.
