Como descrito em seu website, a música de Jose Luis é "La tradición andina y el sentir criollo y afroperuano a través del diseño sonoro de José Luis nos trasladan a un espacio alternativo, incorporando lenguajes que van desde la música clásica y el jazz hacia la música popular contemporánea". O disco foi gravado na Flórida em 1996 e publicado pelo selo Songosaurus, dedicado ao jazz latino.
