[Português] A Armenin Navy Band possivelmente produz a música mais difundida internacionalmente na atualidade pela Armênia. O idealizador e diretor artístico do grupo é o turco de descendência armênia Arto Tunçboyaciyan, peça chave não apenas no banda mas também no cenário musical armênio. Com uma carreira internacional consagrada a partir de trabalhos importantes com Chet Baker, Al Di Meola, e principalmente Joe Zawinul, além de prêmios importantes do mercado fonográficos como World Music Award de 2006 e o Grammy de 2011, o músico contribuiu significativamente para mudança de olhar da comunidade musical internacional para a produção musical feita na Armênia. Neste contexto, a musica armênia tem contribuído significativamente com a difusão e desenvolvimento da música etno contemporânea em termos globais, uma tendência em plena expansão que se utiliza dos elementos regionais fundidos a linguagens já consagrada como o jazz em suas diversas formas. A Armenian Navy Band é definida como uma música avant-garde folk, as melodias e o colorido armênio reagem com as harmonias e improvisações do jazz e balanço do soul entre outros. Neste panorama, a banda composta por doze músicos, foi montada com uma estrutura padrão onde a percussão, bateria, piano e baixo, formam o sustento para os coloridos dos quatro músicos da seção de metais (saxofones, trompete e trombone). Pois bem, então o que difere a música da Armenian Navy Band são as composições e a sonoridade que quatro músicos produzem com os instrumentos regionais como kanun, kmenché, blul, duduk e zurna, tudo produzindo a atmosfera sonora de uma Armênia contemporânea. 
[English] The Armenin Navy Band produces possibly the music more widespread internationally today in Armenia. The founder and artistic director of the group is Turkish and Armenian descent Arto Tunçboyaciyan, key part not only in the band but also in Armenian music scene. With a consecrated International career from important works with Chet Baker, Al Di Meola, and Joe Zawinul especially, and important awards from the phonographic market as World Music Award 2006 and Grammy 2011, the musician contributed significantly to changing the approach of the international music community to produced Music in Armenia. In this context, the Armenian music has contributed significantly to the development and dissemination of contemporary ethno music in the global context, a trend that is rapidly expanding using the regional elements fused with languages already established as jazz in its many forms. The Armenian Navy Band is defined as an avant-garde folk music, the melodies and colorful harmonies of Armenia react with the jazz improvisations and swing soul among others. The band consists of twelve musicians that was assembled with a standard framework, the percussion, drums, piano and bass form the support for the colored four musicians from horn section (two sax, trumpet and trombone). Well, then what differ the music of Armenian Navy Band are the compositions and sounds that four musician produce with regional instruments such as kanun, kmenché, blul, duduk and zurna, all producing the sound atmosphere of a contemporary Armenia.
