de Anoushka Shankar, citarista e compositora britânica de origem indiana, e
filha de Ravi Shankar. Este excelente disco realiza uma
bela conexão entre as músicas indiana e espanhola. Participaram
diversos artistas de grande talento de ambas as tradições culturais, como por
exemplo as cantoras Sandra Carrasco, Shubha Mudgal e Concha Buika, os
guitarristas Javier Limón e Pepe Habichuela, o percussionista Piranã, o
tablista Tanmoy Bose e os dançarinos Mythili Prakash e Farruco. Boa audição! [English]Traveller is the penultimate album of Anoushka Shankar, British sitarist
and songwriter of Indian origin, and Ravi Shankar's daughter. This excellent
record makes a nice connection between Indian and Spanish songs.

Estes discos são o resultado de quatro dias de gravações realizadas na casa de Shankar em Encinitas, California, em outubro de 2011 quando o músico estava com 91 anos. Para estas sessões ele convidou Tanmoy Bose para acompanha-lo na tabla, um parceiro de longas datas de shows e gravações, e também Kenji Ota e Barry Phillips nas tanpuras. O resultado destes dias ao vivo em casa foram sete ragas, uma música pura e profunda, com improvisações e toda a experiência de uma vida dedicada a citara e a música. As gravações foram divididas em dois discos chamados "The Living Room Sessions, Part 1" e "Part 2", o primeiro lançado em 2012 com quatro faixas e o segundo lançado em 2013 com três faixas. Este último, recebeu o premio póstumo do Grammy 2013 de melhor álbum de World Music e esta nomeado para o melhor álbum de World Music para 2014.
[English] These are the last records of Ravi Shankar, famous and legendary Indian citara player who died in 2012 at age 92. These albuns are the result of four days of recordings made at the house of Shankar in Encinitas, California, in October 2011, when the musician was 91 years old. Was invited to this session Tanmoy Bose to the tabla, a longtime partner of concerts and recordings, and also Kenji Ota and Barry Phillips on tanpuras. The result of these days live at home were seven ragas, a pure and deep music, with improvisations and the whole experience of a life dedicated to sitara and music. The recordings were divided into two albuns called "The Living Room Sessions, Part 1 "and" Part 2 ", the first launched in 2012 with four tracks and the second launched in 2013 with three tracks. This last one received the posthumous Grammy award 2013 for Best World Music album and also is nominated for Best World Music album for 2014.

difundido pelas bandas do hemisfério sul. Natural de Gronzy, Chechênia,
vive a vários anos em Moscou onde desenvolve sua carreira de sucesso. Dedica-se
principalmente ao jazz e a música popular, apesar dos poucos discos lançados, já contribuiu com vários nomes importantes do cenário musical
internacional como Richard Elliot, Frank Zappa, Cindy Louper, Michael Bolton,
Earth Wind & Fire, Carlos Santana, George Benson, Herby Hancock, Art
Farmer, Dizzy Gillespie, Niels Pedersen, Sandra Brooker, Billy Copen e
Quincy Jones. Manukyan é daqueles músicos incomuns, ótimo tecladista,
cantor e baterista, com um grande poder de interpretação e
expressão, na voz curiosamente tem preferência por cantar em inglês, mas
produz atmosferas emocionantes com o canto e com
as improvisações tipo vocalise. Serão postados cinco ótimos trabalhos
de Sergey, os três primeiros da carreira solo com
composições próprias ou temas populares, e os dois últimos
atuando como baterista junto a um trio composto pelo excelente pianista
